Women's Health

A range of rarely discussed issues which affect women can be treated with physiotherapy. These include pelvic floor strength, bladder problems and a wide range of pregnancy related issues. There's no need to be embarassed about asking... we treat these issues on a daily basis. Please ask our helpful staff about how we can help you to restore your strength and control.

Post surgery

After surgery, your body needs to regain its strength in the injured area. Physio on Brunswick work with patients after a wide range of surgeries; most notably joint surgery, such as knee reconstructions, shoulders and so on. Surgery is only step one. Before returning to your previous level of activity, you need to return the area to full strength through regular, planned activity and physiotherapy.

Posture related problems

Poor posture can cause a great deal of muscular discomfort and contraction. Posture problems can often be treated with physiotherapy, relieving you of unnecessary pain and discomfort. Early physiotherapy treatment can also avoid more serious posture problems down the track.

Urinary Problems (men & women)

Urinary problems are a very common issue and are often not addressed due to embarassment. Statistics show that by the age of 60, 5% of men are incontinent and 30-40% of women are affected, but less than half will admit it.  Although caused by a wide range of reasons, the issues are often managable with the correct exercises which can be taught with the appropriate physiotherapy.

Working with your doctor / medical practitioner.

We promote a team approach and work closely with your doctor, medical specialist, other therapists etc. This good communication ensures that your recovery is always kept on an agreed, consistent and effective path.

Whatever your injury, contact Physio on Brunswick and get your body back to its best.
